Hygge (Pronounced as :hue-guh) is a moment being with your authentic self with/without a companion.


When was the last time?

*You looked at yourself in the mirror instead of a selfie.
*You liked and shared an special moment in life and not on facebook.
*You were anxious to see the face of a loved one and not the “blue double ticks“ on whatsapp.
*You told your friend, family or a loved one that i want to see you and not look up the “last seen“ status on whatsapp.
* You used “i love you“ “sorry“ “i want to hug you“ “great job“ “i want to see you“ instead
of emoticons and tweets.
* You captured, celebrated and enjoyed real moments of life rather than looking at instagram.

For us, Hygge exists in moments of listening to the birds chirp, the sway of the tress, the cuddling of a dog, the people we meet for a chat, the coffee we drink together, the “me “ time in the garden, a good laugh with our children, eating wafers at our desk, “what’s for breakfast “ convo with the domestic help, movie with friends, meal with parents, hugs from a partner, a walk with your grandparents in the evening, a visit to the park with your niece/nephew, sitting in the same room and just being with oneself, and the list is endless.

You don’t need Danish recipes or the secrets of a royal lifestyle to learn how to hygge. It can be found in asking yourself where you feel most at home, what are the activities and customs that anchor you, who makes you feel at ease, what is it that contributes most to
